Dr. Snider is an Emergency Physician and Youth Violence Researcher. She developed the Emergency Department Violent Intervention Program in Winnipeg, Manitoba and evaluated it using a Randomized Control Trial. Dr. Snider is passionate about advocating for vulnerable populations through evidence based approaches. She is passionate about the importance of strong female leadership and mentorship in emergency medicine.

In her FIX19 talk, she shares the story of the tragic death of a patient in the ED waiting room in Winnipeg. She explores the implicit bias that contributed to this event, shares her experience confronting her own implicit biases and asks that we all become more familiar with our own implicit biases.
