Amy grew up in Iowa and completed her residency training at the University of Iowa. She completed fellowship in Global Emergency Medicine at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN. She is now the fellowship director there. Her areas of interest are global medical education, social justice, and making lifestyle change accessible for patients. Her new daughter Rita is teaching her and her husband the ways of parenthood.
