Andrea is currently a Chief Resident in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Kings County/SUNY Downstate Hospital in Brooklyn. She completed her undergraduate degree in Sociology at UCLA. Following college she spent several years in Northern California working in the outdoor industry before moving to Detroit to attend medical school at Wayne State University. She has spent her chief year focusing on residency education and the weekly conference curriculum. Next year she will be a fellow in Wilderness and Expedition Medicine at SUNY Upstate in Syracuse. When not working, you can find her somewhere between the beach and a mountain top - anywhere there isn’t a roof over her head.
