Dr. Elyse Portillo is a pediatric emergency medicine fellow at Boston Children's Hospital and a one-eyed doctor. She is a passionate advocate for protecting the health of at-risk children, and her work focuses on reducing disparities in healthcare and improving both access to and quality of healthcare for patients and families who are foreign-born, non-English-speaking, or otherwise alienated in the systems of care in which she practices.
