Dr. Emily Sbiroli is a current third year emergency medicine resident at UC San Diego Health. Born and raised in New York, she completed medical school at SUNY Downstate and a Bachelor of Arts from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study in Environmental Sustainability. She is currently on UC San Diego Health’s Sustainability Committee as the sole physician liaison. She is also serving on Health Care Without Harm’s Physician Advisory Committee and in 2019 she was one of two inaugural winners of Health Care Without Harm’s Emerging Physician Leader Award. Dr. Sbiroli has also presented on the topic of climate change and health at California ACEP in 2018 and 2019. After residency, she hopes to pursue a fellowship in Climate and Health.
