Dr. Gabrielle Jacquet is the Course Director of the edX courses. She is an Assistant Professor of EM at the Boston University School of Medicine and an Attending Physician in the Emergency Department at Boston Medical Center. She received her MD from the University of Vermont and her MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Jacquet completed her Residency in EM at Denver Health and her Fellowship in International EM and Public Health and MPH at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Jacquet focuses her work on medical education and strengthening emergency care in resource-limited settings. She has taught EM, assisted in developing systems, or conducted research in India, Ghana, Sudan, Rwanda, South Africa, Haiti, and Colombia. Dr. Jacquet has over 25 peer-reviewed publications and has lectured at many national and international EM conferences. Dr. Jacquet is the Director of Global Health for the BMC EM residency program and the Assistant Director of Global Health at the BU School of Medicine. She is the Alternate Councilor for the ACEP International Section and an Editor for GEMLR (Global Emergency Medicine Literature Review).
