Kat is a board certified Emergency Physician who resides in Southern California. She attended medical school at the Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego. As a result of her time serving as an Active Duty Navy Physician for U.S. Marines and Sailors, Kat has developed a keen interest in gender dynamics of organizations and is passionate about mentoring young females in traditionally male dominated fields. Kat has deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel and briefly aboard the USNS Mercy in support of Pacific Partnership. She currently serves as a Staff Emergency Physician at Robert E. Bush Naval Hospital in Twentynine Palms, CA and at Redlands Community Hospital in Redlands, CA. She is a member of AAWEP and WIMS San Diego.
