Dr. Medford-Davis is a board-certified emergency physician, an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, and a healthcare consultant. She was formerly a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania, where she completed a Masters of Science in Health Policy and Research. She completed residency at Baylor College of Medicine where she served as chief resident after earning her medical degree at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Medford-Davis has worked for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation, the World Health Organization, Indian Health Services, and the National Institutes of Health. Her published research focuses on improving value in health care delivery through care coordination, and access to care for vulnerable populations. She also serves on the Government Relations Committee of the Texas College of Emergency Physicians, as the Legislative Advisor on the ACEP Young Physician Section Executive Board, as the VP of Communications on the Academy for Women in Academic Emergency Medicine Executive Committee, and as a subcommittee chair on the ACEP Emergency Medicine Practice Committee.
