Dr. Shideh Shafie is an Assistant Professor- Clinical Educator of Emergency Medicine at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine- Brown University. Dr. Shafie completed her residency and ultrasound fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center, where she served as associate medical director, before returning to her beloved city of Providence and her medical school alma mater in 2017. Her passion is teaching and being an example of how to live with joy as a working woman and mother, as well as serving her local community. She serves on the board of the Rhode Island Economic Progress Institute, a non-profit group that advocates for policies that improve economic security and opportunity for working class Rhode Islanders.
