Dr. Teresa Amato is the Chair of Emergency Medicine at Northwell, LIJ-Forest Hills. She completed medical school at SUNY Downstate, emergency medicine resident at New York Presbyterian Cornell/Columbia and a fellowship in Geriatric Emergency Medicine at New York Presbyterian. Additionally, she completed a BSN and MSN at the Nursing School at Columbia University. She is happily married and the mother of six children, five daughters and one son, the oldest of whom is in medical school!
