Vidya is an emergency medicine resident at Northwestern's McGaw Medical Center in Chicago. She attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for her undergraduate studies and returned to her hometown of Houston for medical school at Baylor College of Medicine. She is the inaugural chair of the EMRA Diversity and Inclusion Committee and has served on the Education and Health Policy committees. Her interests include social emergency medicine, advocating for workforce diversity, investigating health care disparities, visiting national parks and photography.
