Congratulations to Ms. Christina Liu for receiving the EMRA ACEP17 Travel Scholarship.  This scholarship is given to assist a resident or student member of EMRA in the costs associated with attendance of this national meeting.

Ms. Liu was born and raised in Parsippany, New Jersey. She is a fourth year medical student at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY and is currently applying for Emergency Medicine Residency. She is interested in genomics research, global health, and working with underinsured, underserved patient populations.

During her gap year, she worked on two projects to explore the integration of whole genome sequencing into clinical medicine. She also volunteered for Partners in Health | Engage, a community building grassroots project to advocate, educate, and fundraise for health as a human right. As a fourth year medical student, she is planning on going to Kisoro, Uganda for 2 months to work on the inpatient ward of the local hospital and contribute to community health projects. She hopes to continue integrating global health work into her future career.

Congratulations Ms. Liu!
