Congratulations to Dr. Amy Zeidan for receiving the AWAEM Outstanding Research Publication Award!

Dr. Amy Zeidan is an Assistant Professor at Emory University School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences and completed an Emergency Medicine residency at The Hospital of The University of Pennsylvania. She completed an Emergency Ultrasound fellowship at the University of Kentucky and is interested in point of care ultrasound implementation in resource limited settings domestically. She is co-director of the Human Rights Clinic in Atlanta and has conducted forensic medical evaluations for >50 asylum seekers. Her research focuses on barriers to acute care for refugees, immigrants, and asylum populations. Additionally, Dr. Zeidan is committed to gender equity in medicine.  She is an active member of AWAEM and (beloved) member of the FemInEM leadership team.
