Congratulations to Dr. Elizabeth DeVos for receiving the AWAEM SAEM Leadership Forum Scholarship! This scholarship is intended to support developing leaders in academic emergency medicine who can manage complex organizations, innovate health care delivery, and effectively improve the health of diverse patient populations and who have worked to promote the role of women in academic emergency medicine.

Elizabeth DeVos MD, MPH is Assistant Chair for Faculty Development and an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine—Jacksonville. She is also the Director of Global Health Education Programs for the UF College of Medicine.  Dr. DeVos graduated from the Northeast Ohio Medical University and EM residency at UF College of Medicine Jacksonville.  She earned her Master’s in Public Health from the George Washington University as part of her International Emergency Medicine fellowship.  Dr. DeVos is active in the development of Emergency Medicine worldwide and a Fellow of the Order of the International Federation of Emergency Medicine. She is also President-Elect of the Duval County Medical Society.
