Under her leadership over $20 thousand of grant money was awarded to women physician scientists in order to improve research on disparities in healthcare and healthcare delivery. Over just the last five years she has formally mentored 7 female medical students, 13 female residents, 7 female faculty and 5 female non-physician healthcare providers in addition to many male mentees.
