Congratulations to Dr. Reem Hanna for receiving the Gender Equity in Medicine Research Foundation Research Grant!

Dr. Hanna is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center. Dr. Hanna completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh, where she majored in molecular biology and religious studies. She attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and completed her residency training in internal medicine at UPMC Presbyterian-Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh. Dr. Hanna’s academic interests include global health education, care of underserved patient populations, and state of women in academic medicine. She serves as Director of Global Health Education for the Division of Hospital Medicine, and is director of the Global Health Hospital Medicine Fellowship within the Division.​Outside of work, Dr. Hanna enjoys traveling, running, and spending time with her husband and young daughter.
