NEW EM Residency in Florida Looking For Residency Leadership!

We are seeking qualified candidates for the positions of Program Director, Associate Program Directors, as well as core faculty for a new Emergency Medicine residency program.  The program is sponsored by the North Broward Health District and Florida International University College of Medicine.

The target start date for the program is 1 July 2019, and we anticipate 12 residents in the first class. Academic appointments will be with FIU’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.

Clinical rotations will be shared between Broward Health North and Broward Health Medical Center.

The North Broward Health District operates the nation’s seventh largest public health district consisting of four major hospitals which combined support a level 1 trauma center; a level 2 trauma center; 2 Comprehensive Stroke centers; 2 Primary Stroke Centers; 2 Mental health receiving centers; 2 Adult Cardiovascular Services (PCI) Programs, and the Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital at Broward Health. The District treats over 300,000 annual emergency department patients.
