The Departments of Emergency Medicine at Northwest Medical Center and Westside Regional Medical Center, is establishing a new allopathic Emergency Medicine Residency Program, with an estimated start date of July 1, 2022.We are currently seeking a Residency Program Director, to lead in the development and implementation of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program to be based between Westside Regional Medical Center in Plantation, FL and Northwest Medical Center in Margate, FL. The Program Director of the Emergency Medicine is responsible for the leadership, organization, operation, and the general administration of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program. The Program Director establishes the strategic direction of the program and is responsible for the standards, quality and reputation of the Emergency Medicine residency program.
The Program Director is expected to integrate the Emergency Medicine residency program with physician practices and hospital clinical services in a manner that enhances value and quality, and that promotes an optimal environment for graduate medical education. The Program is targeting 12-15 Residents per year, with the First class of PGY1 residents starting July 1, 2022. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated leader to have input on building a program from the ground up.
