EmCare Partners Group is seeking a Director for the Observation Unit (also called a Clinical Decision, Rapid Decision, or Rapid Diagnostic Unit) who is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine.
This Director will also be responsible for:
- Tracking quantitative and qualitative metrics for the unit.
- Work closely with the Emergency Department Site Director to incorporate these metrics into the overall EM Department quality review.
- 120 hours of clinical time in the Main Emergency Department is part of this position.
- 10 hours a month is the anticipated time for the administrative duties.
- Presenting suggestions at quarterly Hospital Administration Meetings.
The Observation Unit is staffed 24-7 with experienced Mid-Level Providers and a physician during 12pm to 8pm, who will also be available outside of those hours for consult on any specific cases. The Observation unit is Protocol Driven, and there are Emergency Medicine physicians available 24-7 in the Main Emergency Department.
