Envision Physician Services is seeking a EM Residency Program Director who will be responsible for for leading, administering, and supervising all aspects of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program in accordance with the ACGME Program Requirements and Institutional Goals and Objectives to residents at Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee, FL.

The successful candidate will have a national reputation as a leader in academic medicine in the areas of medical education, clinical care and research (relevant within the last five years).

The hospital is a 368-bed facility located in the heart of the city and is part of the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) located at 700 West Oak St in Kissimmee, Florida. Osceola Regional is also home to one of Florida’s newest emergency medicine residency programs in partnership with the UCF College of Medicine having started July 2016. 1st class graduating in 2019. The UCF COM/HCA GME Consortium Emergency Medicine Residency Program has the benefit of being a new program, offering the ability to provide a cutting-edge learning environment using the latest educational ideas and theories.

Qualified Candidates:

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Core Faculty member in an ACGME –accredited Emergency Medicine program
  • Must be clinically active in Emergency Medicine
  • Must be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
  • Have previous leadership / administrative experience
  • Be willing to combine Administrative and Diagnostic (teaching) Responsibilities (50/50)
  • Have strong administrative and team building skills

Responsibilities will include:

  • Authority and accountability for the operation of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program
  • Development of curriculum, policies, and procedures for the program
  • Obtain and maintain ACGME accreditation and state approval
  • Recruiting residents into the program and developing evaluation process for their performance
  • Participation in competency evaluation of residents
  • Additional responsibilities to ensure programs success
