We continue our mini-series highlighting women emergency physicians, who are leading the establishment and organization of emergency care throughout Africa.  The FemInEM host @ultrasoundREL returned from from the 4th African Conference @AfCEM2108 on Emergency Medicine in Kigali, Rwanda.  Today she speaks with Dr. Upendo George. Pendo is the first woman in the field of emergency medicine in Tanzania. In 2010, she joined the first residency program in collaboration with the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS).  She is the head of pediatric emergency medicine at Muhimbili National Hospital, and head of externships and elective residents at the emergency medicine department at MUHAS.
