Bio

Alexandra “Lexie” Mannix, MD is an Assistant Residency Director and Assistant Clerkship Director at the University of Florida-Jacksonville . Dr. Mannix completed a simulation fellowship at a joint program between Rush University Medical Center and Cook County Hospital in Chicago. Additionally, Dr. Mannix is the Medical Director for the Center for Simulation Education & Safety Research at the University of Florida College of Medicine- Jacksonville. She is involved with the Faculty Incubator through Academic Life in Emergency Medicine and is the co-founder of sheMD.org, a virtual community of practice that aims to to educate women (& men) in medical education about gender disparities & inequality in medicine. Lexie’s interests include medical education, curriculum design, simulation, women in medicine, social media in medical education, and wellness.
