Bio

Dr. Nachat holds dual board certifications in Emergency Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. After completing her residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC, she pursued education in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Pain Management. A significant portion of her practice entails optimizing care plans for complex patients to minimize their therapy and disease-related symptoms while optimizing their quality of life. Dr. Nachat is a firm believer in Evidence Based Medicine and conducts translational and observational research on health outcomes and is a published author. She was the Chair of the American Pain Society CAM special interest group and founder of the Integrative Medicine Program at Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Nachat currently practices at Legacy Health in Portland, Oregon, where she is the system-wide project lead on optimizing pain management across disciplines and specialties.
