Bio
Dr. Jain earned her MD from St George’s University. She completed residency in Emergency Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where she also completed a fellowship in Emergency Ultrasound. After ultrasound, Ashika went on to complete her second fellowship in Trauma Critical Care at The University of Maryland, Shock Trauma Center, in Baltimore Maryland. She now holds a dual appointment in the Department of Emergency Medicine and in Surgery as a surgical intensivist. All throughout her training, Ashika has maintained and pursued an interest in international medicine, having worked in India, Nepal, Grenada, St Vincent, and Fiji. She has been working to join her great interests, trauma and international work, in El Salvador working on capacity building. Additionally, she ran medical camps in Nepal after the April earthquake.
