Bio

Christine Zink is a core faculty member in the Emergency Department and is the Wilderness Medicine Director at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She finished medical school in 2006 at Weill Cornell Medical College and then completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital where she became part of the Wilderness Medicine faculty and launched her career. She moved to San Antonio, Texas, to help start the new Emergency Medicine residency program. Christine has spent time in remote locations of Africa working in health related endeavors. She travels to Ethiopia yearly guiding medical students and she has developed a new Wilderness Medicine elective for medical students at the University of Texas-San Antonio.
