Bio

Dr. Deena Berkowitz is Medical Director of Fast Track services and the physician assistant group at Childrens National Medical Center Emergency Trauma center. She completed a joint MD-MPH in health policy and pediatric residency at Yale University School of Medicine and her pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Children's National Medical Center. She has been on faculty at CNMC since 2007. She co-founded the Society for Pediatric Urgent Care in 2014. More recently she completed extensive training in quality improvement methodology. Her research interests include health care delivery, health care system designs, clinical operations, and quality improvement and its applications in the pediatric emergency department.
