Bio
Dr. Das is currently the Director of Undergraduate Point-of-Care Ultrasound Medical Education and Assistant Professor at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. Previously, Dr. Das was the Director of Diversity & Inclusion, Associate Director of Emergency Ultrasound, and Co-Fellowship Director of Emergency Ultrasound at Northwell Health/Staten Island University Hospital for eight years.
Born and raised in NY, she left briefly to attend medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine. She returned to her roots to complete her emergency medicine residency and emergency medicine ultrasound fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Queens in Flushing, NY.
Dr. Das has always maintained an interest in teaching, learning, cultivating and constantly growing. Dr. Das has a special interest in point of care ultrasound education and has authored a number of articles in this field. She has also been involved in promoting women in medicine through various national organizations.
