Bio
Dr. Aini is an emergency physician, academic medical director of an urban ED and Clinical Decision Unit in Philadelphia.
She trained at New York Presbyterian. She has since served as faculty at Cornell, University of Pennsylvania, and now Thomas Jefferson University.
Dr. Aini is an immigrant who moved to the US when she was 7 years old. She was raised in the light of the American dream and has been fortunate for the opportunities to become educated and climb the ladder of professional success. She considers herself a representation of what Afghan women can do if allowed. Dr. Aini is married and has two young sons and enjoys being busy.
She strives to keep going and is inspired by women all around her. She loves to serve as a mentor to others and has been the lucky mentee of many others that have inspired, sponsored, and believed in her.
