Bio
Osose Oboh is a Nigerian-American, born and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles, California. She received her B.S. in biology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She graduated in 2013 and matriculated into the University of Southern California to obtain her Master’s in Public Health degree in the Global Health Leadership Track. After she finished her program, she continued on to complete a post-baccalaureate program and apply to medical school. She is now in her second year at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Since she has been at Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine, Osose has become the Co-President of student council, sits on the Council of Diversity Education, volunteers as an Admissions Ambassador, sits on the Dean’s Student Advisory Committee, is a representative for her class to the Organization of Student Representatives for the AAMC was a Regional Future Leadership Project Fellow and on the National Board of Directors for the Student National Medical Association.
In addition to her medical career pursuits, Osose has been working as a freelance photographer for the past four years. She has shot her own visual art projects in addition to weddings, graduations, fashion and lifestyle photography, and her favorite, travel photography. She has been featured in several publications including Vogue Italia. Osose now offers her services to the College of Human Medicine in addition to using her talents to share the stories of diverse populations across the globe. She plans on combining her passion for photography, global/public health, and medicine in her future career.
