Bio

Dr. Sandra Viggers is a recent graduate of the University of Copenhagen Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. She is passionate about medical education, the development of professionalism and is particularly interested in how we move learners from being novices to experts.

Dr. Viggers is currently researching performance in resuscitation. Her prior research and publications include medical education within medical simulation training. She spent 2014 with Dr. John Holcomb and his group doing research in bleeding trauma patients at the Center for Translational Injury Research at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston.

Dr. Viggers works at the Copenhagen Academy for Medical Education and Simulation. She is also heavily involved in the world of #FOAMed (@StarSkaterDk) and is especially proud of being legacy program director for The Teaching Institute (http://www.theteachingcourse.com) and a #smaccDUB speaker.
