Bio

Dr. Asher is Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and Assistant Dean for Graduate Medical Education at Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. She completed her MD at Albany Med and trained in Emergency Medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York.
She has been on the faculty in Albany since 2001 where she has served as Associate Program Director, Program Director, and now Assistant Dean.

Dr. Asher also holds a Masters Degree in Bioethics and is Associate Editor of the Biros Section for Research Ethics for the Academic Emergency Medicine Journal. Her academic interests include post-graduate education, international education, faculty development, clinical ethics and professionalism. Dr. Asher lives in upstate New York with her husband Kevin and daughters Lydia and Rebecca.
