{"id":622,"name":"Viveta Lobo, MD","url":"","description":"Dr. Viveta Lobo is an academic emergency physician who completed a fellowship in Emergency Ultrasound in 20013 at Stanford. She has remained on the Stanford faculty, now serving as Associate Director of the Emergency Ultrasound program and co-director of the fellowship.\r\n\r\nDr.Lobo\u2019s interests include ultrasound in medical education, resident and fellow education, and simulation-based training, including procedural skills. She also has an interest in Patient and family experience in the ED, and is the director of the Patient and Family Advisory Council for the ED at Stanford. She directs multiple courses within the medical school relating to point-of-care ultrasound and resuscitative care through simulation-based training. Her research involves the study of various point-of-care ultrasound applications especially in the management of critical care patients. She also has several projects looking at education curriculums and protocols for point-of-care ultrasound within medical education.\r\n\r\nDr. Lobo is a leader in the bedside ultrasound community, and has lead several very successful educational innovations in emergency ultrasound including at various CME workshops nationally, ACEP meetings, and internationally at the Scientific assembly for EMCON, India\u2019s largest EM organization and for the University of Lima, Per. She has co-directed UltraFest, a free national medical student ultrasound symposium at Stanford since it\u2019s inception.\r\n\r\nDr. Lobo is a Faculty Mentor in the Fellowship Incubator Ultrasound section for the internationally known Academic Life in Emergency Medicine group.
