Bio
Dr. Annahieta Kalantari is the Associate Program Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency at Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. She completed a 4-year emergency medicine residency at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem, PA.
While employed at Jefferson Northeast, she developed the Sepsis alert protocol which resulted in hospital mortalities below National benchmarks. She started the point of care ultrasound program from the ground up. Additionally, she created several innovative curricula for the EM residency program didactics. She has received the “EM Educator of the Year” award from her residents in recognition of her hard work, bedside teaching and devout dedication to medical education within her institution. She also won her section in the 2016 ACEP New Speaker’s Forum.
Nationally she has given several well-received talks at AAEM, ACEP, ACOEP and CORD and speaks internationally with Medutopia. Her topics of interest include sepsis management, STEMI mimics, traumatic brain injury, direct oral anticoagulation reversals, wellness, presentation skills and slide design and innovative curriculum development.
