Mifepristone Pretreatment for the Medical Management of Early Pregnancy Loss

This study demonstrated that pretreatment with mifepristone before misoprostol administration significantly increases the success rate of medical management for early pregnancy loss compared to using misoprostol alone. Specifically, women receiving the combination treatment had a higher rate of complete gestational sac expulsion (83.8% vs. 67.1%) and a significantly lower need for subsequent surgical intervention.
