Karen Kuehl, MD is Assistant Professor of  Emergency Medicine at Virginia Tech Carilion in Roanoke, Virginia.  In her FIX18 talk, she shares her story of joining a practice of cowboys and learning how to be different and make a difference.  After seeing an area of weakness in her department, she became the first and only Director of Psychiatric Emergency Services. She shares her story and encourages others to look around for jobs that need doing as ways to change your department, your practice and your life.
