Additionally, she has contributed to numerous state and national emergency medicine-related committees and workgroups. Currently, Dr. Gonzalez serves as a member of the CalACEP Board of Directors. She is also the Director of Clinical Training and an Implementation Leader for the Bridge Program (bridgetotreatment.org), which helps establish Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT) programs in over 280 hospitals across California, as well as an increasing number of hospitals in other states. In these and many other roles, Alicia has driven change at the local, system, regional, and state levels—always with the same goal: shifting the culture of healthcare back toward the physician-patient relationship and bringing joy and ease to bedside practice to ensure the best physician experience and patient care possible. Alicia is an expert in change-making, medication for addiction treatment, pain management, and leadership.
