Dorothy Habrat, DO is an American Board of Emergency Medicine Certified Physician with a demonstrated history of working in the pre-hospital and hospital fields. She is sub-specialty trained and board-certified in Emergency Medical Services with experience in pre-hospital medical direction, paramedic education, event medicine, music festival medicine, mass gathering, austere medicine, emergency dispatch, and flight medicine. Dr. Habrat is employed at the University of New Mexico Hospital holding the title of Assistant Professor in the Dept of Emergency Medicine. She is a faculty member in the Division of Pre-hospital, Austere and Disaster Medicine and a member of the University of New Mexico EMS Consortium. Dr. Habrat works in the Emergency Department as an attending physician, is the former Program Director of the EMS Fellowship, is the Medical Director of the Bernalillo County Fire Department, Medbow Event Medicine team and Albuquerque SANE Initiative. Through the EMS Consortium she works alongside the Grand Canyon National Park and is a trained member of the Landing Recovery Team for Boeing/NASA Starliner missions. Dr. Habrat previously worked at the Los Angeles County EMS Agency and as an Attending Physician/Assistant Professor at Harbor UCLA Medical Center. Dorothy Habrat is contracted as an Emergency Medicine Physician Specialist working with Emergency-1 Response. She has also worked with Insomniac Productions and American Medical Response in large mass gatherings. Events worked include marathons, Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, HARD Summer Music Festival, the 92nd Academy Awards Ceremony in Hollywood, California and many more.
