Dr. Menchetti is a PGY5 Emergency Medicine resident at the University of Toronto, joining University Health Network as a full-time academic physician in July 2026. A committed advocate for gender equity, she served as the sole resident representative for the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians and co-led national work characterizing gender equity challenges facing women in Emergency Medicine across Canada. This research, presented at multiple national conferences, revealed that workplace-based feedback is one of the most significant and actionable sources of gender bias in resident training. Building on these findings, Dr. Menchetti developed an ED-based feedback framework aimed at reducing gender bias and improving feedback quality for all learners. She became the first resident facilitator to present a national grand rounds for CAEP on this topic, has published her framework in the Canadian Journal of Emergency Medicine, and has been invited to present across multiple specialties and health professions communities. Currently completing a Master of Medical Education, she is passionate about using simulation to train clinicians in delivering equitable and high-quality feedback.
