Dr. Korin Hudson is a Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine. She was both an athletic trainer and a paramedic before completing both her medical degree and residency training in Emergency Medicine at the University of Virginia, followed by a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Georgetown University & Medstar Health in Washington, DC, where she has been on faculty since 2006. She has been the program director for the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship since 2020. Dr. Hudson has been Team Physician for Georgetown University Athletics, the Washington Wizards, and the Washington Mystics, and a Consulting Physician for the Washington Capitals, and the Maryland Jockey Club. She is a member of the NBA Emergency Medical Preparedness Committee and the NHL Emergency Action Planning Committee. And she has been the medical director for several endurance events. She has over 20 years of experience in the care of athletes and has a particular interest in non-operative musculoskeletal care, diagnosis and treatment of concussion. Dr. Hudson has a particular interest in emergency action planning and emergency preparedness as it relates to athletic events and venues. As of June 2025, she is taking on a new role as the Physician lead for Emergency and Event Operations at the NBA.
