Regan Marsh, MD MPH, is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Her work focuses on advancing health equity, and she is the Associate Medical Director for Health Equity of the Mass General Brigham health system and a Senior Strategic Advisor for Partners In Health. Dr. Marsh founded and leads the Program in Health Equity within the Office of IDEaS (inclusion, diversity, equity and social justice) for the BWH Department of Emergency Medicine, where their work has focused on achieving equity in emergency care delivery. At the hospital and system-levels, her team has implemented a framework for understanding and addressing disparities throughout the Mass General Brigham health system. Dr. Marsh’s global health work with PIH was based in Malawi, Haiti, Sierra Leone and Liberia to improve health outcomes by strengthening health systems after emergencies. She also served as the senior technical lead for PIH’s domestic Covid-19 response, prioritizing systems for equity and justice in historically marginalized-communities. Dr. Marsh received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University and her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Medicine. She completed emergency medicine training at the Harvard-Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency and received a Master of Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health.
