Dr. Roya Caloia is the upcoming Chair of the USACS National Clinical Governance Board, responsible for leading a group of physicians making decisions for our entire organization with one goal- ensuring we are putting forth the right things for our patients, physicians and APPs.She served as the National Director of Clinical Education for USACS, is a former Emergency Medicine residency program director and current core faculty at Henry Ford Genesys EM residency program. She is also a frequent national speaker. Dr. Caloia lives in Rochester Hills, MI, and is originally from Miami, FL. She received her BS in Psychology and Biology from the University of Miami and her MPH in Health Promotion from Florida International University before receiving her DO from Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, FL and EM residency at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, MI serving as chief resident in 2010. She won the Genesys EM faculty teaching award two years in a row and has been named a Distinguished Reviewer for WestJEM.
