Samreen Vora, MD, FACEP, MHAM, CHSE, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, Director of Interprofessional Simulation and Director of the Simulated Participant Program at the Yale Center for Healthcare Simulation. While serving as the Medical Director of the Simulation Program at Children's Minnesota for seven years, Dr. Vora created an SP Program focused on partnering with the community to teach healthcare professionals bias interruption skills. She is the recipient of the Children’s Minnesota Child Advocacy Award (2022), the Minnesota Physician Community Caregiver Award (2019) and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare Emerging Leader Award (2019). Dr. Vora is currently a co-Investigator on a National Institute of General Medicine Science grant, helping to conceptualize, design, and implement a longitudinal mentorship program alongside the well-established Simulation Academy at Yale: Youth Entering Science (SAY-YES) program. Dr. Vora is a mentor to interprofessional trainees, including medical, advanced practice, and PhD students. Dr. Vora’s research interests are focused on simulation in the areas of simulated participants, racism and implicit bias in healthcare, and human factors design in healthcare delivery.
