The University of Chicago’s Department of Medicine, Section of Emergency Medicine, is recruiting Emergency Medicine physicians to join us as full-time Clinical Associates as we prepare to open our new emergency department and Level 1 Trauma Center. Nocturnist positions are available.

Applicants are required to be board certified or board eligible in emergency medicine and to be eligible for medical licensure in Illinois by the start of employment. Successful candidates must possess a commitment to excellence in patient care, clinical operations, and education. Responsibilities will include the opportunity to work with and supervise our emergency medicine residents.

The University of Chicago Medicine is a STEMI receiving hospital, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, a Burn Center, and a Chicago South EMS regional resource hospital. The Adult ED has an annual volume of 65,000 and our Pediatric ED cares for 30,000 patients per year, including 1,000 level 1 trauma patients.
