Bio

Dr. Tewelde is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. After residency she completed a fellowship in cardiovascular emergencies. Currently she serves as Co-Director of the fellowship under the leadership of Professor and Vice Chair, Dr. Amal Mattu. She’s published on emergency cardiology topics in both the emergency medicine literature as well as in Cardiology Clinics. She's been an invited speaker for Maryland ACEP, Resuscitation for Emergency Physicians (AAEM), the Mediterranean Emergency Medicine Congress (MEMC), and the Dutch North Sea Emergency Medicine Conference. She's also served as an instructor of bedside echocardiography for the Crashing Patient Conference, Heart Course, and Society of Thoracic Surgeons Annual Congress.
