Bio

Dr. Sofie Morgan hails from Georgia. She obtained a B.A. in psychology from Emory University and later earned a dual M.D.-M.B.A at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Morgan completed her clinical training in emergency medicine at Georgetown University/Washington Hospital Center. Upon completing her residency, she returned to Emory as an Assistant Professor in its Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Morgan officially joined the faculty at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in 2015 after having spent the past year practicing at CHI St. Vincent's Healthcare and UAMS.

Dr. Morgan's professional interests outside of clinical medicine involve service excellence, value, quality improvement, and ED operations. Her research has been published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, Academic Emergency Medicine, and the American Journal of Managed Care.
