Abigail Hankin-Wei is an academic emergency physician who works clinically and teaches at Emory University in Atlanta, and in Maputo, Mozambique, where she leads and helped to start Mozambique's first emergency medicine residency. She completed her emergency medicine residency at the University of Pennsylvania, received her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco, and a Masters in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley. She currently lives with her family in Mozambique, and returns regularly to work clinically at Grady Hospital in Atlanta.
