Andrea McGowan is a RN working in a rural/remote hospital at the end of the road on Canada’s west coast. After working as a Tofino RN for a number of years she was the site’s Clinical Nurse Leader for 4 years and is currently in a pilot project role of Clinical Nurse Educator/RN. A University of Ottawa graduate in 1999 and lifetime learner, Andrea is passionate about ongoing education, and FOAM. She is a strong advocate for equality and high quality care regardless of where people live and believes that healthy teams better the care and outcomes of patients. She also adores her family, and carves soapstone during downtime.
