Melissa Villars, MD, MPH is an Emergency Medicine resident at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC. She was born and raised in New Jersey and attended Carleton College in Northfield, MN for her undergraduate education. She completed medical school at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and began residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. After interning in the pediatric and adult emergency departments she realized Emergency Medicine was her passion and made the hard decision to reapply for residency. During the year she obtained her MPH from Columbia University. She is interested in public health, health policy, administration and physician wellness.
