Congratulations to Dr. Holly Caretta-Weyer for receiving the 2016 EMRA CORD Travel Scholarship!  This scholarship is given to individuals who demonstrate significant academic and scholarly interest in emergency medicine to attend the CORD Academic Assembly Conference.

Dr. Caretta-Weyer received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health before completing residency, and serving as Chief Resident, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics.  She is currently the first year Emergency Medicine Education Scholarship Fellow at Oregon Health and Science University. She is interested in transitions within medical education and using competency-based education to bridge these gaps in training, as well as grit and professional identity, and mentorship within emergency medicine and education scholarship.
