Dr. Tanya Belle is a newly elected chief resident in emergency medicine at the University of Connecticut. She was born in Barbados and obtained her medical degree from the University of the West Indies. She initially pursued residency in emergency medicine in the Caribbean, where she completed three years of a four year program prior to joining the University of Connecticut. Her professional interests include critical care, simulation, residency development, and promoting women in leadership.
